Alberto Kozub: I don't think it is the information overload, but buildup of toxins in the environment that get to our bodies and minds through the food chain. Medical technology saves babies and allows older women to produce babies that may be more fragile then in the "only the strong survive" days. Those fragile babies grow up to produce more. Look at the hereditary disorders - diabetes, mental disporders, spina befita, to name a few - Now a diabetic (etc.) body can produce 3 children with the gene....Show more
Donald Caravalho: I think these "disorders" have always been with humanity. The difference is that now we have the luxury of dealing with them. 200, 300, 500 years ago, if you got a toothache or a scratch, you DIED. If we could go back in time and tell people about how our 21st-century world suffers from "ADD" or "depression," they would laugh in our faces. It's still this way in very poor undeveloped countries. With all due respect to the person who said! that "cancer rates are at an all time high," that is untrue. Cancer DIAGNOSIS is at an all time high, which is a good thing. People have always died of cancer, but medicine either didn't know what it was, or later, had very few treatments for it, other than removal of a tumor (if the tumor was even accessible). And even then, people would die of complications. Cancer is nothing new, nor has it increased. Love, Jack....Show more
Ira Porietis: I agree with you. And in addition to any mental health issues, I think there may be physical issues. Cancer rates are at an all time high and there is every type of cancer imaginable. I think it has to do with the technology boom. No one knows what the long term effects of various technologies are simply because we have not had them long enough to determine that. Rumors like our microwaves and cell phones are causing us health issues, may very well be true...we just don't know yet, and we won't until its too late....Sh! ow more
Shaunta Paap: YES PROBABLY, AND ALSO IS MAKING U! S FATTER...
