Can you get maternity insurance only? Without regular health insurance included?

Nadia Crauswell: For free insurance quotes

Andra Oger: There really is no such plan as a stand alone maternity coverage plan. There is only health insurance with a maternity coverage benefit. Most of the plans that come with maternity coverage do not have a full coverage plan. Most of the maternity coverage plans will have a deductible to meet first, then a coinsurance rate. Also, most of the maternity coverage plans will also have a waiting period, either for conception or delivery.

Sol Allphin: When I first got pregnant, my husband had started a new job and we didn't have insurance yet. I ended up going on insurance provided by the state, and was accepted because I was pregnant. Once I had the baby, I wasn't eligible anymore. I don't know where you're from, but you should definitely look into the insurance offered by the state, if it's available. There are income guidelines, but they tend to run higher than normal, so you may still be eligible even if yo! u have a middle class income. I've never heard of any insurance company offering just maternity insurance, although that would be nice!! Good luck!...Show more

Coleman Coscia: Nope,

Jeremy Donohue: No. That would be a bad deal for the insurance companies dont cha think? Then you'd pay a premium, and they'd just take care of all of your bills??? Not gonna happen. You could get pregnant and then get on medical assistance if you dont have insurance.

Trena Berum: I checked into maternity insurance even as i develop into procuring for a man or woman coverage. basically you need to have maternity insurance for one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days till you could now initiate utili! sing it. So it gained't do you any strong to get it now. attem! pt medicaid like yet another poster stated, or you'll get a midwife who will do your prenatal care and grant your infant at your position of abode for $2000-$3000 (that incorporates the prenatal visits). or you could negotiate with the well being center basically before time, in case you pre-pay they are going to regularly allow you to negotiate a chit. contact WIC (women people babies and babies software) they can actually have some aspects for you. also i imagine planned Parenthood promises prenatal care on a sliding cost scale....Show more
