Melvin Nakama: An uncontested (incontested, etc) divorce is where both parties agree to the divorce. Meaning, they have already discussed divorcing and both are "on board" with the decision. This is the best way to go about divorces, it sure makes it a lot easier on both parties.Most document prep sites, like http://document-do-it-yourself-service.com, only handle uncontested divorces. Because if the divorce is contested, you will need to go through a lawyer. Galen Gowers: It means that a divorce can not be contested or the person who has been served the divorce papers can not disagree with the divorce.

It means that husband and wife are on good terms and arent' fighting. its also the cheapest divorce because there can be a mediator and not a judge or lawyers to settle the situation. Good luck.
