Should I stop going to my sister in law for dental work?

Should I stop going to my sister in law for dental work?

answers 0:My wife's sister is a dental hygienist at an office about 25 miles from my house. I have been going to her for all 15 years of my marriage, however in the past year she got a divorce, I have been having more a more issues with my wife, and I am getting tired of driving that far to get my teeth cleaned. There are at least 6 or 8 dentists within a mile or two of my home, and I'm considering to change dentists to one of these nearby.Pros: 1. Save gas 2. Save time3. No family drama or gossip. Just go for teeth cleaning.Cons:1. Risk of getting a worse dentist. My sister in law is a great hygienist in a great office. I have no references around my house. What if I bother to switch and it's not as good?2. What if my sister in law gets offended, and now I get the evil eye at every family get together?3. What if my wife gets offended?By the way! - I know the simple solution might be to just ask my wife, however she isn't like that. She would say "oh, it's fine" and then secretly be upset, and hold a grudge forever. What should I do?...Show moreanswers 1:1. Get a recommendation from someone else, otherwise dont change2 Thats the risk you take3 Whats she gonna do - start withholding sex?answers 2:I like Pearl's answer, haha. You might get a recommendationand go to the new dentist/hygienist in secret... but stillsee your sister inlaw hygienist every otheryear just to keep the peace.answers 3:dentists are like shrinkswhen you find a good one, stick with themits worth the extra gas IMOanswers 4:Should,nt deal with family members save your gas , and find someone nearer to you you dont need the drama anyways.answers 5:Stick with the sister-in-law.I drive 90 minutes for my dentist. But that is because he is HOT...not because we're related.answers 6:There is another simple solution, thats to grow up and make decisions on y! our own. Harsh as that sounds it appears you have been expecte! d to go to your SIL when you have perfectly good dentists locally. You have every right to go where you want and for whatever reason you want. So do it.
