Clay Lipira: I think it may depend on your Rank. My bro was a master chief, he was allowed 1 vehicle to take with him. That was from US to Guam. If you buy a car in Japan and intend to drive it there, then you'll need to get it registered there. When you take it to US, depending on which state you'll register, in CA you will need it to be CARB approved to use.
