I was behind another car at a Junction when another car hit me from behind pushing me into the first car.?

Buster Buchko: you are liable for the car that you were pushed into.

Pei Heatherly: You are. You were stopped too close the car in front.

Norine Lomonte: The car that hit you should be liable, but the insurance companies will have to work it out. You should have exchanged insurance information with both other drivers. Hopefully the police were called to the scene. A police report will help speed things up with the insurance company. You will need to call your insurance company to report the accident. They will need you to tell them what happened and provide the other driver's insurance information. They can then contact the other driver's insurance company to find out where you can take your car for repair. Sometimes it takes a few days for the insurance agents to work everything out. It's always a hassle when you're involved in a car accident, but this clearly was not your fault. You would not have hit the car in front of you if you had not been rearended by! the car behind you. Let your insurance agent fight with the other driver's insurance companies on your behalf....Show more

Maritza Ebanks: It will boil down to this. If the front vehicle felt only one impact, it will be clear that the rear vehicle pushed you into the front car, and the rear vehicle will be at fault. If the front vehicle felt two impacts, then it will appear that you hit them and then were rear-ended by the rear car, so you will be at fault for all or part of the front vehicle's damages. There is no such thing as stopping too close! If you were stopped, and got pushed into the front vehicle, you are not at fault....Show more
