How to add a lot of bass to car audio system?

Alexis Reyer: Bass requires the use of subs, and the use of subs requires the use of an amp."A lot" of bass can mean many different things depending on your point of view. If you've only dealt with stock sound systems then adding a single 10" sub in a quality enclosure with 200-300w rms to run it might qualify as "a lot" of bass.Others would need a pair of 12's with 400-500w each to get "a lot" of bass. Others even more....Show more

Serena Doak: like the other guy said to have alot of bass it reqires subs an to have subs you need an amp, but if you love bass an want alot of it dont waste your money an buy one 10 inch sub because once you hear that your most definitly gonna want more, for most people they get 12 inch subs so id go buy 2 12 inch subs in a box or even 3 10 inch subs in a box, its all up to you but whatever you get dont get just one cuz your gonna def want more i guarantee it. some good brands of subs an amps are memphis ,j.l audio ,infinity ,polk aud! io ,kicker ,rockford ,alpine type s .as far as installing it yes i recommend you get it done at a shop, you dont want to mess with your cars electrical system if you have no experiance, it could be bad an cost lots of money to fix. if you live in or close to new jersey you can come to me an ill do it. i have over 10 years experiance installing car audio/video. an im mecp certified so i went to school for it.good luck...Show more
