What do you think about people renting a room from some one if they have kids?

Jose Calaycay: I would find out as much as I could about the people I am renting from. Perhaps you can ask for referrals, such as if anyone else has rented from them. Perhaps do a background check. It may cost a little bit of money for simple criminal background check. But it is important. Ask their neighbors if there have been any problems. I know for a fact that you cannot ever know everything about someone till you do live with them. I would NOT leave my child with them till I knew them. In fact I would make sure I took my child with me whenever I had to. The people you are renting from may or may not be the most wonderful people in the world, they are not babysitters tho (not saying that you are going to do that but some people think its ok).If you feel any "vibes" about the landlord not being safe, follow your instinct.
